Intros, Actions and updates

Andrew

Walk through from @Adam Eunson will be in January meeting

Next month December OICD.net presentation on Human Identity Framework

@Erika Darling user feedback on identity wallet from

recent time sharing ID docs, then tried prototype and completed surveys on each experience ref usability, security, privacy.  respondents in Miami area of Florida impacted by natural disasters.

  • Positive scores on usability vs other processes

  • Security - neutral rating, comments 'not sure that secure to put all in one place' that could be lost.  What could be hidden in ID wallet to prevent breaches.

  • Privacy - about comparable, but no selective disclosure in prototype so couldn't use this feature.

  • Would like to use for e.g. doctors visits

@Andrew Slack commented good to compare previous types of process (e.g. using documents).  What environment were you doing it in? EG offices, controlled environment.  Were they roleplaying actions or were they given a device and then walked through guided set of actions

@Erika Darling we partnered with Miami Day County, so they found the facilities that were accessible so that similar environment where they would apply for assistance.

Play persona of Mina Jones, asked to complete 6 tasks but not told how to complete them

Was interesting - started with last time experience.  Interesting reading descriptions - need for workarounds to use the system (e.g. emailing to a friend to access website).

@Andrew Slack was it a consistent thread of responses?

@Erika Darling fairly consistent. Security feedback old process normal distribution, wallet feedback was all 'neutral'

@Andrew Slack how much is the tech and how much is the 'social consensus' around adoption.

@Nicky Hickman there is a research approach that doesn't include odd scales so that there is no neutral option.

@Erika Darling worth thinking about for next time.

@Alta Nel commented that recent research also included no neutral options - force folks to choose one way or the other.

@Andrew Slack what are next steps?

@Erika Darling research study closes in December, not sure if there will be further funding.  Will publish at a conference and share with government sponsors - Federal Emergency Management Agency. Interested in mDL and therefore interesting for their own roadmap development.

@Andrew Slack tricky often to ensure that research is then moved forward to action.

@Erika Darling will share lessons learnt and further findings as they go through their analysis and process.

Also building out in the Google Forms @Andrew Slack has been updating G-Forms as he goes through survey with others.

@Alta Nel offered to move the questions from g-doc to forms

Not yet added @Erika Darling 's comments e.g. on custodial vs non-custodial wallets

Aim to launch on 17th November

Nicky to coordinate with Comms Committee.
