Data Modelling and Representation Working Group
Introduction
The Data Modelling and Representation Working Group (and the Task Forces within it) is focused on understanding how to adapt data needs to SSI (and ToIP) and vice versa. A core requirement is understanding and developing how the concepts of Authentic Data impact how data is structured, exchanged, used, managed and verified in both the SSI and non-SSI "worlds".
A reality check is that the technologies being developed in the SSI community (including related data technologies) will be gradually and unevenly adopted. This suggests looking to provide benefits with less than complete or ideal technology SSI/data solutions but with a clear path to full adoption over time. Authentic Data looks like an ideal candidate.
For an overview of the ToIP stack, see the Introduction to ToIP white paper.
Scope
Define models, representations, and interoperability standards for data capture, persistence, exchange and governance. For more information, see this (TBD) ToIP Blog Post.
Task Forces
Task Forces will be created as required. It is expected that members of the DMRWG will work with other Working Groups and Task Forces on data issues for their domain.
Meetings
The DMRWG currently holds meetings every two weeks on Tuesdays. See the DMRWG Meeting Page (link required) DMRWG Meeting Page for the schedule of meetings and agendas, notes and recordings from all meetings.
Documents
DMRWG working documents and deliverables can be found in the DMRWG shared (google drive) folders.
Deliverables
The table below lists all GSWG deliverables that have been approved to move beyond Pre-Draft status. WG members are welcome to follow the links to contribute by joining the responsible Task Force (TF) or contributing directly to a deliverable document.
