News or events of interest to Governance Stack WG members:

  • Drummond explained that he gave a talk on digital identity wallets to the Mobey Forum on Tuesday morning that was very well received. Of course he referenced (and recommended) ToIP, and he was delighted that the speaker following him, Timo Hotti of OP Bank in Finland, spent half of his presentation explaining and recommending use of the ToIP stack for interoperable communications between digital identity wallets/agents for all kind of workflows.

  • Drummond also explained that there is a huge new focus on the EU eIDAS 2.0 digital identity framework, the draft of it which was announced yesterday. It took 45 minutes in the Technology Architecture TF NA/EU meeting just to discuss first takes on it this morning—see the notes of that meeting here.

Learning Pathways

@Carly
@Judith Fleenor (Deactivated)

Carly begin our working session on GSWG Learning Pathways. She shared this Google doc with information about how to construct learning pathways.

  • She explained some of the ways that learning pathways can be constructed.

  • She reinforced that they are definitely designed to be audience-specific.

  • Judith commented:

    • BLOGs, will eventually be down in the history of ToIP posts. But on a learning pathway, the most important points will always be available.

    • YES: Different Audiences!!! So perhaps pick an audience you are writing for for the first one.

    • I might suggest: Creating a master path way, with the content that is relevant to all. And then audience/topic specific objects (in learning development, they are called "learning objects").

    • The languaging for different audiences can also change (because they use different vocabularies).

  • Carly used the analogy of creating "oil drops" that can be parts of a pathway.

  • We discussed a progression from Google docs to the Confluence wiki.

    • We will create a Google Drive folder under the Ecosystem Foundry WG shared drive for that purpose.

    • However we agreed that we as soon as we had a home page ready, we could move to the Confluence wiki since it does not yet have much "outsider" traffic (in fact it's hard to find from the ToIP website).

    • Then we will continue building out new learning pathways on the Confluence wiki.

    • DECISION: We will create the initial learning pathways on the Confluence wiki.

  • ACTION: @Carly to work with @Judith Fleenor (Deactivated) to create the Learning Pathway home page.

  • ACTION: ALL - coordinate via Slack over the next few weeks to fill in the first complete learning pathways for the GSWG deliverables.
