Steering Committee

Introduction

As with all Joint Development Foundation (JDF) projects hosted by the Linux Foundation, overall governance and strategic direction for the ToIP Foundation are provided by the Steering Committee.

Scope

The Steering Committee raises and considers strategic issues and makes decisions on topics that affect the entire Foundation including membership, creation and management of Working Groups, approval/adoption of official deliverables, and marketing communications.

Meetings

Schedule: meetings take place on the third Wednesday of each month from 14:00-15:30 PT / 21:00-22:30 UTC. See the ToIP Calendar for meeting logistics.

Deliverables

  • Approves all official deliverables submitted by Working Groups to become ToIP Approved Deliverables.

  • Membership - approves all new membership agreements and any changes to the composition of the Steering Committee itself.

  • Working Groups - approves and oversees the operation of all Working Groups, including the adoption of their charters.

  • Collaboration tools - reviews and approves the different collaboration options available from LF Decentralized Trust.

  • Marketing and PR - prepares, reviews, and approves marketing communications about ToIP and our activities.

The Steering Committee has no designated subcommittee at this time.

Participation

Steering Committee meetings are open to all Foundation members, though only Steering Committee members (or those invited to address specific topics) actively participate in meetings beyond observing.
