Ecosystem & Governance Working Group

Introduction and Scope

The Ecosystem & Governance Working Group takes over the work of the Ecosystem Foundry Working Group, Governance Stack Working Group and Utility Foundry Working Group (as of Jan 2025).

The scope of the Ecosystem & Governance Working Group is twofold:

  1. to facilitate a community of practice among digital trust ecosystem stakeholders, including governed parties, governing parties, implementers, digital trust utilities, service providers, and others.

  2. to define models, tools, guides, and interoperability standards for governance frameworks for digital trust ecosystems, especially those using the Trust over IP stack as described in the Introduction to ToIP paper and the Design Principles for the ToIP Stack paper.

US/EU: This WG current meets bi-weekly, as described in the ToIP calendar (updated to LF calendar Jan 2025).

Members as well as observers are welcome (with the important caveat below).

Participation

For the protection of all Members, participation in working groups, meetings and events is limited to members, including their employees, of the Trust over IP Foundation who have signed the membership documents and thus agreed to the intellectual property rules governing participation. If you or your employer are not a member, we ask that you not participate in meetings by verbal contribution or otherwise take any action beyond observing.
