Americas Attendees
Americas Notes
- Carly presented slides
- Kyle suggested removing the roles associated with components
- This is a cookbook or TOIP methodology for the governance of the components to guide creators through a process.
- Savita suggested that we approach governance for a solution, then approach the component governance below it to roll up to the solution governance
- The deck is a skeleton. We need to put details for each component
- Reed has a lot of feedback on the Steps shared - this is an example format.
- Alex said we would go back to the drawing board with the steps.
- The Use cases do not all need VCs. Carly asked for the use cases that don't need VCs. Payments and secure messaging don't need VCs.
- Steps can be renamed - Use Cases, Roles, Data, ...
- Drummond to provide the link to the wiki with Terms
- Alex suggested we start with the Museum Pass use case. Kyle suggested we bake in governance pointers in any of the tech components, Agent, VDR, and VC levels.
- We should hear from the Architecture Task Force. Readout from the Dublin conference. Drummond can provide the readout. Alex to align with Drummond. Joe or Wencheng may also be able to provide it. Alex will take this action to bring a speaker in October, and then in November, we can give them a readout.
- Use cases, we will write a helper document.
- The next meeting will be an hour later - Carly will work with Eliza
- Next steps - 1. Create Google Docs. Circulate with the group. Create a skeleton of the doc. Define Components and roles, and explain the sequence of events based on the Museum Use case put some structure to the process.
- Everyone get access to Google Docs, Confluence, for documents.

APAC/EU Notes
- sankarshan mentioned that from his experience, it might be sensible to pick a technology stack first, before going into the specifics of what governance is required.
- Alex Tweeddale responded by saying that you need to understand the use case and specifics of what is needed, because some technical components / stacks fit better with particular applications than others (e.g. AnonCreds are better if you NEED privacy preserving Zero Knowledge Proofs).
