TODAQ

Dann Tolliver

discussion of TODA protocol by Dann Toliver:

  • Dann has been observing - and introduce by @Shermineh Salehi Esmati

  • TODA - not a system (doesn't do consensus) it is a data structure approach aimed at quality.

    • e.g. money, gift certificate, my account, identity document,

    • stateful assets in particular - state changes/evolved (e.g. ownership, properties change, move device holding)

    • e.g. government credential - allowed to move? what needs to happen for it to move.

    • Book-Entry assets - state is known in book (file cabinet) and need to go to physical location

    • Physical Asset - bearer certificate (e.g. ice cream loyalty card with punches). Act of making it physical - implies state changes... but when it returns it has the integrity as if it had been in their book the whole time.

    • Digital Domain -

    • Axis 1 - Physical/Digital

    • Axis 2 - BOOK ENTRY / non-BOOK ENTRY

      • Book Entry - anchored to something known (e.g. system of record, ledger, etc.)

      • non-Book Entry - asset is "mobile" and held outside of the book (bearer instrument)

    • Guarantees - going betweeen BOOK/non-BOOK (e.g. bank to cash;

    • "well-formed rig" structure about the integrity

    • "as if it had been in the (source of truth) system the whole time"

    • TODA proof structure is aligned with KERI key rotation

    • Research and core development is open and unencumbered. TODAQ commercializes by building on top of it.

Introduction to CESR

@Sam Smith @Philip Feairheller

Composable Event Streaming Representation (CESR) as defined by this Internet Draft is a solution to the very knotty problem of how to achieve interoperable streaming representations of cryptographically signed and encrypted payloads. @Sam Smith will explain why the KERI community believes it is an essential component of an Internet trust spanning layer.
