ACTION: ALL to review the ToIP Term Tool Requirements document and propose features for the V1.x, V2, and V3+ versions.

Review 1.x enhancements to ToIP Term Tool

@Daniel Hardman

Daniel will walk us through the updates he has made, including enhanced links and proxy term support.

  • Glossary generation — Daniel added two links to each glossary entry. See screenshot #1.

    • The first link is a single-click copy of the link to the glossary entry.

    • The second link is to the source of the data.

  • Proxy terms:

    • Daniel has implemented the "See" functionality, i.e., the ToIP Term Tool recognizing that when the first heading in a terms wiki page is "See", then it recognizes that the term is a link to another glossary.

5 min

Review new eSSIF-Lab Glossary

@Rieks Joosten

Rieks will walk us through the new version of the eSSIF-Lab Glossary based on a ToIP repo.

  • Rieks showed that the eSSIF-Lab Glossary has three links (see screenshot #3):

    • The 1-click copy link

    • A link to the expanded, full-text definition of the term in the eSSIF-Lab Glossary.

    • A link to the eSSIF-Lab Glossary source code link.

  • The underlying source for the terms is still the eSSIF-Lab Glossary, not to a terms wiki.

  • Drummond asked Rieks about the progress/stability of the eSSIF-Lab Glossary

    • Rieks said that it continues to constantly evolve

    • He is hoping that the ToIP Technology Stack WG starts to take the lead in more terminology.

Review feedback from Nicky's Yoma terms wiki work

@Nicky Hickman

See the Yoma terms wiki and the Yoma glossary.

  • We debugged Nicky's problem in that some terms wiki pages didn't have  ## Definition as the first header on the page. To show up in a glossary, a terms wiki page MUST have either a ## Definition header or a  ## See header.

10 min

Review feedback from Scott & Drummond's terms wiki work

@Scott Perry

@Drummond Reed

See the ToIP Core terms wiki and glossary and the GSWG terms wiki and glossary

  • The new proxy terms functionality (the ## See heading) and the new linking capability was all we needed.

  • Now the next step is clear: we need to "backfill" all the terms used in ToIP deliverables so far.

  • ACTION: @Drummond Reed to post a "ToIP terms wiki backfill plan of action" before he goes on holiday.

MEGAverse Terms Wiki

@Nicky Hickman

See Mrs. Claus' instructions in this North Pole directive.

ACTION: @Daniel Hardman will create a ToIP terms wiki for #mega and post the link to Slack.

  • Review decisions/action items

  • Planning for next meeting
