ToIP Protocol Stack diagrams discussion

All

@Steve McCown good info (below) BUT, where there are actual implementations (real-world products) can we show these concrete examples. Creates a "state of adoption". Could help rally the technology and help us dig in on the various ToIP detailed architecture while

  • HL-Indy + HL-Aries - "data sovereignty" "movement"

  • HL-Aries + Layer1... -

  • Layer 3/2/1 -

BUT - don't forget that most working solutions are about "getting my own house in order" while holding "interop" and other goals in mind.

eg:

  • (delegated) authorization - can lead to solving a very specific, important need for ONE ecosystem, can extend to less urgent/important ecosystems.

  • intra-ecosystem - what is in use in our own ecosystem (e.g. National driver license)?

  • inter-ecosystem - what about exchange b/w ecosystems (e.g. 2 countries driver license)?

See the ToIP Protocol Stack Diagrams slide deck (Google Slides)

  • So far seven contributors have added their first draft of how they would draw the stack. This gives us a lot to work with.

  • Who else wants to make a contribution?

  • How can we start to move towards harmonization?
