Updates from TSWG members of general interest to the group.

• The Trust Spanning Protocol, Trust Registry Protocol, did:webs, and ToIP governance were all strong topics at IIW. ToIP related sessions included:

• We also gave two sessions on ToIP at the Linux Foundation Member Summit in Monterey last week:

  • Defining the Protocol for Internet-Scale Digital Trust (panel discussion)

The 60 day Call for Exclusions period under the TSWG's previous IPR terms has ended. Due to the Linux Foundation Member Summit last week, the chairs need to circle with Judith to determine the formal logistics for closing the existing TSWG and opening the new one.

ACTION: TSWG Co-Chairs Drummond Reed, Darrell O'Donnell, & Kevin Griffin to work with ToIP ED Judith Fleenor to manage the formal logistics for closing the existing TSWG and opening the new instance under the new IPR terms.

Jesse will provide an overview of this new effort in IETF in which he, Jacques Latour and others are driving. The IETF Internet Draft is called:

Q&A:

Tim Bouma "Sold!" He thought this was really great work and would help very much with adoption.

Darrell O'Donnell asked what the penetration of DNSSEC is today. Jesse said that, he wasn't sure, but it thought it was on the order of 20%, and that larger DNS providers/registrars were working on initiatives to provide it automatically.

Technology Architecture TF — Wenjing Chu  Drummond Reed

• Example Use Cases for the ToIP Stack is largely done (just final comments cleanup).
• ToIP Glossary is largely ready (awaiting TEv2 tooling from the Concepts and Terminology WG to apply it to the spec).
• Work on the third generation ToIP stack diagram is ongoing (very active discussions in the Governance Architecture TF).

Trust Registry TF — Andor Antti Kettunen  Darrell O'Donnell

• Registry of Registries concept being explored - this may be different than the Trust Registry Protocol or just an extension.

Trust Spanning Protocol TF — Drummond Reed Wenjing Chu Sam Smith 

• Two presentations (one for Muggles and one for Wizards) were giving on the TSP at Internet Identity Workshop (see links above).
• Wenjing continues to make steady progress on the Working Draft.

ACDC TF — Sam Smith Philip Feairheller 

• Updates for ACDC spec revised format workflow.
• KERI spec is first, PRs are up and comments would be great!

AI & Metaverse (AIM) Technology TF — Wenjing Chu 

• The AIM Task Force just submitted its response to US Copyright Office’s RFC on “Artificial Intelligence and Copyright”. Here is the link if you are interested in a read. Credential Exchange Protocols TF — mathieu 

• Judith reported that the TF has put together an extensive spreadsheet of the four major protocols. They are now discussing the details and trying to extract the most important details for specific audiences.

did:webs Task Force — Lance Byrd Philip Feairheller Markus Sabadello 

• Kevin reported that at IIW, Markus Sabadello did a fantastic demo of did:webs, showing how it protects against attacks on the DID document. The link is https://github.com/peacekeeper/did-webs-iiw37-tutorial
• There is discussion going on about a universal "Whois" capability for DIDs.
• The TF is getting close to have a finished spec.
