  •  ACTION: Drummond Reed to check with Darrell O'Donnell and Kevin Griffin about progress on a ToIP Technical Specification Template (presumably using the Spec-Up tooling from DIF) so that Wenjing Chu has a clear path to take once we are ready to convert the Working Draft from Google docs to GitHub Markdown (which is what the Spec-Up tooling produces).
  •  ACTION: Drummond Reed to drop a note to Michelle Janata to add the Trust Registry TF to the calendar invite description for the combined APAC meetings on Wednesdays 18:00-19:00 PT / 02:00-03:00 UTC.
10 minsReport on Spec-Up and ToIP Technical Spec Template Task Force

See action item #1 above and also the proposed Specification Template Task Force charter.

We discussed the plan to migrate to Spec-Up and the template when we are ready to move to the First Implementers Draft.

Darrell said he felt the template was mature enough for any new spec (such as the TSP spec, since it is coming over from a Google doc) to be able to start working with it immediately.

ACTION: ALL TSPTF members to review the proposed Specification Template Task Force charter and post any feedback to the wiki page or to the TSWG2 mailing list.

40 minsWorking Draft Feedback Review

Review comments, feedback, and open issues on the Working Draft.

We had a long discussion about the term "relationship". There is 100% consensus that all TSP interactions take place between two VIDs. However there are multiple comments around how to describe the <insert-term-here> between two VIDs. The candidates discussed were:

  • relationship
  • connection
  • channel

There are cases to be made for and against each of these.

Tim Bouma For consideration - in the Public Sector Profile of the Pan-Canadian Trust Framework, we defined different types of relationships in Appendix D https://github.com/canada-ca/PCTF-CCP/blob/fa423e56308b004b8d9aff5c31f6463926f48715/Version1_4/PSP-PCTF-V-1.4-Consolidated-Overview-EN-2021-12-16.pdf

We didn't resolve this terminology question on the call but agreed to park it for further cogitation.
