Example: "Immunization Screening" form in OCA format
- Example: "Vaccination Records" form in OCA format
- The concept of transitive trust and VC/container coupling
The approach undertaken by the DAPSI Digital Immunization Passport team in dealing with personal health data is to use a Semantic Container for the bulk of the transient data storage with a coupled VC acting as a certificate of proof that the data subject has been vaccinated.
For the "VC/Container" approach, the VC can contain minimal information to provide a vaccination status plus (i.) an attribute containing a hash of the data payload in the container and (ii.) an attribute containing a hash of the form that was used to capture that data payload. If either the data payload or the form are subsequently modified, the corresponding hash would no longer be valid and, by default, the VC would also be invalidated. With this method, the VC acts as both the "Proof of Vaccination" certificate and a means of authenticating that everything contained in the associated container has been verified.
