Review of Spec-Up-T updates

Kor showed us new features of Spec-Up-T:

  1. All of the repos are now part of the ToIP repos at Linux Foundation.

  2. All “keys” to reference terms across glossaries use all-lowercase-with-dashes.

  3. You can now add local notes to a tref term included in your own Spec-Up-T document. This way you can see the full original definition but still be able to annotate it with additional information pertinent to the local document.

  4. When a tref includes a ref, it will resolve to a local def, but if there is no local def, the ref link will be removed. This way a tref does not override the “mental model” of the local document.

  5. You can change the way a tref term appears in your own glossary (e.g., change capitalization or punctuation). See the example below of the term “Gram head” in the KERI glossary. It shows an alias “Gram Head” and also the cross-glossary key “gram-head”).

In addition, you can “drill down” in a tref to see more info about the origin definition, including metadata.

Prep for the ToIP Symposium

The ToIP Symposium is scheduled for Nov 19-20. See the LFDT announcement page.

We have proposed a talk about Spec-Up-T on Day 1 and a workshop showing how to use Spec-Up-T on Day 2.

We will use our Nov 3 meeting to have a “dress rehearsal” discussion in preparation for the Symposium talk and workshop.
