Open Discussion : Leveraging the layered Trust over IP stack for AI Agents

aka What should the AIMWG be focusing on (and its potential relationship to other WGs in the broader community).

@Wenjing Chu

  • AIMWG charter: trust for ai and ai for trust

  • ToIP’s layered architecture is our differentiator (Trust tasks over TSP)

  • Partner/complement with AI agent protocols and frameworks (they are the higher layer)

  • Current activities to contribute to. Collectively formulate a unique solution.

    1. TMCP/TA2A: defining the core protocol - how AI Agent protocols use TSP as the foundation of trust

    2. Trust framework: to better articulate our solution as a general framework

    3. Use cases: to better illustrate common patterns & trust workflows

  • Relation to

    • DTG: DTG’s solution is also built on TSP. DTG’s output (the graph) can be used in agent and person identities. (Similarly, FPP is also built on TSP).

      • Common identifiers: did:webvh, did:scid, …

    • DIF TAIAWG appears to focus on higher layers - if so - then AIMWG’s output will be beneficial to their work, although it’s still a little early. The blog post states their first work is to study “agentic authority work flows” about agent delegation.

      • Open question: DIDComm vs TSP. Recap earlier discussion on running DIDComm messages over TSP.

  • Other related activities
