  • How are you thinking about vocabulary :

    • Scott Perry : Right term?

      • Vocabulary might not the right term.

      • Glossary.

      • Language Structure.

      • Don’t call it vocabulary. Call it terminology?

        • Localized terms we are using.

      • What are the terms we are trying to describe.

      • Use cases on how to use the terminology.

    • Specification needs to have links back and forth.

    • Conformance program : C2PA

    • Link to terms we are talking about.

  • Drummond :

    • We want a query language

    • Defined

  • Next Meeting :

    • TRQP vs. TRQL Work

      • TRQP 2.0 Published and Stable

    • [Jeff] This has probably been broached before, but to what extent would either SQL or SPARQL satisfy (syntax) query requirements for TRQL — assuming that the semantics of the Trust Registry context are defined as well ?

    • It looks similar to what we had with vocabulary, with the TRQL as the new name. Effort would be on defining what could be described with ABNF and if it can be generic enough so that it would be useful to any ecosystem. Response format should be unified and handled at the TRQP level.

      • maybe we should first try to check what can be generalized. Ej Jurisdiction may be generalized to “Area”

      • which could be a geographical, legal, … limitation

    • Is this a Query Language or just a Naming Convention for the “opaque string”?

    • Fabrice: I suggest any meeting participant should explain what they expect from the TRQL.

      • Homework :

    • Close and order things to a WG Draft.

  • [ Action Item ] Create a new repo for trql and move issues that are trql based over.

  • I think that this discussion (about what a query language is) is helpful.  If TRQP is limited to “do you have this authority?” which is defined in a governance framework, why do we need/want more? If you need to go deeper - go native and use the system-of-record.  A question - are we overloading something that is intentionally simplistic?

  • 3rd question :

    • Here’s the lingua franca for the query.

  • @Makki Elfatih :

    • Definitions/Terminologies : Distinction.

      • What’s a terminology?

      • Ontology vs. Terminology. Needs to be very clear.

  • [Drummond] If we can get in the next two meetings wrap up that would allow us where the issues are that hits the TRQP.

  • Timing :

Action Item :

  • Move Repo :

  • Background Research :

    • SPARQL

    • DACQL

    • Light Query Languages

  • Homework :

    • What does TRQL mean for you

  • Public Review Draft 02

  • Working Draft Approved : End of June for GDC.
