Verified Issuers and Verified Verifiers

W3C

  1. Verifiable Issuers and Verifiers: The group discussed a specification for verifiable issuers and verifiers, aiming to ensure users can trust the source of credentials and the legitimacy of verification requests. The existing ETSI standard was mentioned, and the plan is to create a JSON-based profile of this standard, potentially adding or modifying fields as needed for broader international use. Collaboration with ETSI and the VCEDU community is planned to align efforts. The specification is considered ready to be handed off to the Verifiable Credential Working Group (VCWG).
