Mission
The purpose of the SEGF Task Force is to develop the Sovrin Ecosystem, a ToIP Layer 4 ecosystem whose purpose is to enable self-sovereign identity (SSI) as a universal service. This Task Force is a sister effort to the Sovrin Utility Governance Framework (SUGF) Task Force, a ToIP Layer 1 public utility to support the Sovrin Ecosystem and all other digital trust ecosystems. For background on both the SEGF and SUGF, see this document from the Sovrin Governance Framework Working Group. The governance authority for both the SEGF and SUGF is the Sovrin Foundation, a U.S. 501(c)4 non-profit public trust organization.
