A “bridged approach” to VIDs will lay the foundation for High Assurance (HA) Trust Registries, Governance Frameworks and Digital Credential Ecosystems that are over IP (ToIP) Profiles that remain agnostic to the underling underlying VID used. The goal of the Task Force is therefore to demonstrate that a “bridged approach” to VIDs can leverage the bespoke . This approach allows decision-makers to choose the most suitable VID for specific contexts and purposes without foregoing interoperability between VID systems. Through designing a framework that supports and acknowledges theunique benefits of each “VID flavour”, where each flavour different flavours can co-exist rather than compete. As a result, this is intended to create , resulting in a more robust, scalable, flexible and High Assurance high assurance architecture for VIDs that enable ToIP ecosystems to select the best VID for a specific context and purpose, without forgoing interoperability with other VID systemsthe implementation of ToIP ecosystems.
