A SocioTechnical Process for Researchers, Designers and Creators by Lisa Talia-Moretti

Aim to answer key questions that Lisa, a digital sociologist gets asked all the time:  “How can social scientists transform the design and creation of tech products and services?” and “How do I ‘do’ ethics? How do I go from theory to action?”  It provides a process that serves two functions: 1.) Clearly and transparently documents areas that social scientists can help with, and 2.)  Supports ethical best practice in the research, design and creation of tech products and services.

If you’d like to hear my thoughts on why I believe we need to redefine technology from product to system and the important role the digital humanities plays in the creation of tech, you can watch my tedX talk on Ted.com
