In order to establish commonality across sector-specific Working Groups (WGs), Task Forces (TFs) and Focus Groups (FGs) at Trust over IP, 12 industry sectors are defined below for generic reference.

The Energy Sector comprises companies engaged in exploration & production, refining & marketing, and storage & transportation of oil & gas and coal & consumable fuels. It also includes companies that offer oil & gas equipment and services.

It also includes companies that provide transportation services.
